The MUTYH-associated polyposis, caused by pathogenic variants in the MUTYH gene, and secondly, the Lynch syndrome—often referred to as hereditary nonpolyposis CRC, which is caused by germline pathogenic variants in the DNA MMR genes (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, and PMS2) and EPCAM. Here, MUTYH is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
