In esophageal adenocarcinoma, a gene signature that includes EPHA5 mutations predicted an improved response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in one study [14], whereas in colorectal cancer, reduced EphA5 expression is associated with lymph node metastasis, an advanced stage, and a poor prognosis [15]. This evidence concerns the gene EPHA5 and esophageal adenocarcinoma.
