One of the few systematic reviews and meta-analyses addressing this topic, which included eighteen studies with a total of 3657 participants, showed elevated levels of anti-TPO (SMD = 0.36; 95% CI: 0.19–0.53; p < 0.001) and anti-TG (SMD = 1.24; 95% CI: 0.37–2.10; p < 0.001) in the women with PCOS compared to the control groups [17]. Here, TPO is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
