Digging deeper with post hoc Dunn tests and Bonferroni correction (adjusted p < 0.0167), we saw that the Past PTSD ≤ 5y group had the highest IL-18 levels at a median of 125.2 ng/L (IQR 109.4–133.6), followed by the >5y group at 30.0 (30.2, IQR 20.8–73.4), and the No PTSD group at a much lower 9.0 (IQR 7.9–11.8). The gene discussed is IL18; the disease is post-traumatic stress disorder.
