When we examined biomarkers like IL-18, IRE1, pERK, and ATF6, we found that PTSD patients, whether recent (≤5y) or chronic (>5y), consistently showed elevated levels compared to controls without PTSD, with p-values from the Kruskal–Wallis test all below 0.001. The gene discussed is EIF2AK3; the disease is post-traumatic stress disorder.
