Taking into account the clinical data on the infiltration of cancer cells into the lymphatic vessels, we showed that the mean expression levels of the CASP1, CASP3, CASP4, CASP5, CASP7, CASP8, CASP9, CASP10, and CASP14 genes were statistically significantly higher in patients without the presence of cancer cells in the lymphatic vessels (Figure 5A,B). This evidence concerns the gene CASP14 and cancer.
