CD68 and pterygium: We observed a significant increase in the pterygium, with CD3-positive T lymphocytes showing a 1148 ± 175.4-fold increase (p < 0.001) and CD68-positive macrophages showing a 587.0 ± 53.99-fold increase (p < 0.0001) compared to the healthy conjunctiva (Figure 4A,C).
