Results from a preliminary study with the mouse syngeneic model orthotopically implanted 4T1 BC cells [8] showed that total angiogenesis area in the lungs, the most common site for TNBC metastasis, was significantly reduced in mice fed ACN compared to controls, as were mRNA levels of Centromere Protein F (Cenpf), which has been associated with lung metastasis [10]. The gene discussed is CENPF; the disease is breast cancer.
