miR-19a also has stimulatory effects on CRC cell proliferation and migration—it causes lower expression of the pro-apoptotic TIA1 [126], the chloride channel accessory CLCA4 [127], and the FOXF2 transcription factor [104], the latter two being potent inhibitors of the Wnt pathway and thus their decreased expression enhances proliferation and invasion. Here, TIA1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
