From transcriptomic data archived in TCGA database obtained from 394 patients with bladder cancer, a significant decrease in overall survival (hazard ratio (HR) = 1.7, p = 0.00042) and a trend toward a reduction in disease-free survival (HR = 1.5, p = 0.053) were observed in patients whose tumors express high (above median) levels of GHR in comparison with patients whose tumors express low (below median) levels of GHR (Figure 1c,d). This evidence concerns the gene GHR and urinary bladder carcinoma.
