MEG3 is expressed in several tissues, including peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) [9,10,11], and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of obesity and obesity-related diseases, including cardiovascular diseases and T2D [12,13,14], and its differential expression offers significant potential for its use as both a biomarker and a therapeutic target [15].
