Similarly, in another study conducted by Yang et al., it was proven that CLA-producing Bifidobacterium breve CCFM683 and 1% CLA-supplemented chow administration ameliorated DSS-induced colitis in mice by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β), upregulating levels of IL-10, MUC2, ZO-1, claudin-1, claudin-3, and E-cadherin.
