SERPINA1 and endometriosis: Previous studies have demonstrated that decreased intracellular SERPINA1 levels exacerbate the inflammatory response in endometriosis‐like lesions in mice (Tamura et al. 2015) and heighten ER stress‐induced cytokine production in cultured human adipocytes and trophoblast cells, given the role of SERPINA1 in protecting cells from inflammatory factors (Ando et al. 2021; Yoshida et al. 2021).
