DNAH8 and necrotizing enterocolitis: The final cluster of genes that is shared by both botulism and NEC isolates contains ten genes, which are predicted to encode the permease and ATPase components of a macrolide ABC (ATP-binding cassette) efflux transporter, the ATPase component of a multidrug ABC efflux transporter, the PhoB-PhoR two-component regulatory system and homologues of the four genes of the agrACDB locus (Fig. 5d and Table S8).
