Chromogranin A, a component of neuroendocrine granules, is a general marker of intestinal neuroendocrine cells (Facer et al., 1985; Mouland et al., 1994) and may have a regulatory role in metabolism (Garg et al., 2023) Numbers of chromogranin A expressing cells were about 40% higher in patients with obesity as compared with the controls. Here, CHGA is linked to obesity disorder.
