THPO and thrombocytopenic purpura: In a comprehensive study involving 50 allo-HSCT patients with and without prolonged thrombocytopenia, 42 patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and 22 healthy individuals, the findings revealed that several factors, including the index for plasma glycocalin normalized for individual platelet count, plasma thrombopoietin levels, and circulating B cells producing anti-GPIIb-IIIa antibodies, were notably higher in patients after allo-HSCT [20].
