CD79A and congenital toxoplasmosis: In conclusion, our results showed that the diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis should not be affected by the lack of those two reference assays for the detection of anti-Toxoplasma IgA, since the remaining serological tools available to date, i.e., IgM assays of high sensitivity (11) and comparative WB, outperformed IgA detection in terms of earliness, specificity, and sensitivity for post-natal diagnosis.
