This result is consistent with other studies, such as those by Liu et al., who discovered increased ZEB1 expression in lung adenocarcinoma tissues.9 Our study found that ZEB1-positive immunostaining was present in 54% of malignant cases, which is significantly higher than in normal tissues and suggests that overexpression of ZEB1 is a feature of thyroid cancer.
