A pivotal analysis of over 7,000 MDS patients revealed that multi-hit TP53 mutations conferred a hazard ratio (HR) of approximately 3.7 for overall survival (OS) compared to monoallelic TP53 mutations (median OS: 8.7 versus 2.5 years; HR = 3.7; 95% CI: 2.7–5.0; p < 0.001).17 Here, TP53 is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
