LOXL1 transcripts are notably overexpressed in several cancers, including invasive breast carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, esophageal carcinoma, glioblastoma multiforme, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous cell carcinoma, ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma, sarcoma, stomach adenocarcinoma, thymoma, uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma, and uterine carcinosarcoma (Fig. 4A). Here, LOXL1 is linked to glioblastoma.
