Immunohistochemistry showed that tumor cells were S100+, CD34+, SOX10+, c-kit−, desmin−, DOG1−, ER−, HMB45−, STAT6−, Oct4−, synaptophysin−, AE1/AE3−, SMA−, and vimentin+; for a small fraction of cells, EMA+, synaptophysin−, BCL2−, and β-catenin− and MIB-1 positivity was about 1% (Figure 2 and Table 1).
