SOX9 and neoplasm: In an orthotopic transplantation model using Ntn1-overexpressing and control mT4 cells, Ntn1 overexpression increased tumor burden (as evaluated by pancreas weight and histological tumor areas) and also increased FAK phosphorylation and the expression of ZEB1, SOX9, and Ki-67, as well as PGP9.5+ and TH+ nerves (Supplementary Fig. S4A–I).
