Indeed, it has been demonstrated that CD1c-restricted T cells can target leukemia cell lines in a CD1c-dependent manner while sparing CD34+ stem cells, and CD1c has been shown to be expressed in AML, T-ALL, B-ALL blasts and non-Hodgkin lymphomas in 50-75% of patients (11).
