In recent years, five clinical trials (EXAMINE, SAVOR-TIMI 53, TECOS, CARMELINA and CAROLINA) have been conducted on the effects of DPP-4 inhibitors (alogliptin, saxagliptin, sitagliptin, and linagliptin, respectively) on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) (cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, and non-fatal stroke). Here, DPP4 is linked to stroke disorder.
