In hepatocellular carcinoma, NUAK2 silencing or pharmacological inhibition impaired proliferation through modulation of YAP signaling (Yuan et al, 2018), and YAP-driven NUAK2 was shown to reinforce YAP activity via actomyosin cytoskeleton remodeling (Lamouille et al, 2014).
