ALK and non-small cell lung carcinoma: This finding is noteworthy because high PD-L1 expression has been previously linked to shorter PFS and OS under first-line osimertinib treatment.28-31 Of note, a higher PD-L1 expression has also been linked to more aggressive courses of driver-dependent NSCLC, for example, ALK+ and METΔex14+ tumors,32,33 and may reflect a stronger oncogenic signaling, as PD-L1 is a downstream target of these cascades.
