Although RorcΔ369 mice exhibited defects in total ILC3s, IL-17-producing, and IL-22-producing ILC3s in the colon after infection, IL-17-producing CD4+ T cells were significantly increased in RorcΔ369 mice (Extended Data Fig. 6d-f), which may compensate for host defense against C. rodentium in RorcΔ369 mice. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and infection.
