P45-IKKα has primarily been studied in CRC cell lines, likely due to its high abundance in CRC cells carrying the BRAF Val600Glu (V600E) mutation, which results from a T1799A transversion in exon 15 of the BRAF gene (previously referred to as T1796A) and causes a substitution of valine with glutamic acid at codon 600 (formerly Val599Glu) [28,45,46]. Here, BRAF is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
