SOX9 and Alzheimer disease: Overall, these gene profiles supported and complemented our earlier observations showing that aging AD‐MSCs maintained on ECM Plus displayed a restoration in cell proliferation and suppression of SASP (Figure 4E); a simultaneous upregulation in the expression of Runx2, NES, and SOX9, indicating multi‐lineage differentiation potential to osteoblasts, neuron‐like cells, and cartilage, respectively (Figure 4F); and upregulation of various trophic factors that support an enhanced anti‐inflammatory response (Figure 4G).
