To assess the effect of cell culture substrate on trophic factor production, aging AD‐MSCs pre‐cultured on TCP or ECM Plus were treated with 20 ng/mL TNF‐α for 48 h to simulate a pathologically relevant inflammatory environment (Lee et al. 2017); the expression of prostaglandin‐endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2), which encodes cyclooxygenase 2 (COX‐2), and TNF‐α induced protein 6 (TNFA1P6) was measured to represent an MSC in vivo anti‐inflammatory response. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Alzheimer disease.
