SSR3 and bladder transitional cell carcinoma: It has been reported that NR4A1, another member of the same family as NR4A3, can migrate to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and bind to the protein Bcl-2/TRAPγ, thereby inducing the outflow of Ca2+ and the depletion of calcium pool in the ER, followed by ER stress and apoptosis.20 Therefore, we speculated that NR4A3 might also inhibit the anoikis resistance of BLCA cells by promoting ER stress, thus inhibiting the metastasis of BLCA.
