Contrarily, although CYP2B6 has not been previously associated with transplantation clinical events, in our cohort, some variants were found to alter the renal clearance and increase the risk of exitus, tumor, acute rejection and DM occurrence during the 12-year follow-up, which were enhanced if coincided with variants in ABCC2, SLCO1B1 and ABCC2 transporter genes. This evidence concerns the gene CYP2B6 and diabetes mellitus.
