The AChE is a highly selective enzyme for acetylcholine, ensuring rapid and precise termination of synaptic transmission, and is therefore considered the principal target in the development of therapeutic agents for neurodegenerative disorders such as AD (Dastan et al., 2017; Lolak et al., 2020; Mukhametgalieva et al., 2022).
