This pathway has been identified as a key factor in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma and is regulated by several miRNAs, including miR‐99a, miR‐100, and miR‐149, which inhibit mTOR, as well as miR‐9, miR‐30, miR‐125, miR‐149, and miR‐379, which inhibit AKT [17, 18].
