In our study, conducted in vitro using primary cultured OLs, we further show that Aβ peptides remodel the OL transcriptome, particularly genes related to hnRNPs and RNA metabolism, such as App, Hnrnpa2b1, Hnrnpf, Hnrnpm, and Hnrnpu. In agreement with these results, proteomic analysis have shown upregulated modules in AD related with RNA binding and splicing proteins [44] with hnRNP A2 emerging as a common hub [45]. This evidence concerns the gene HNRNPA2B1 and Alzheimer disease.
