The presence of 1q21 gain (gain of additional copies of the long arm of chromosome 1 at band q21 and t(4;14) (translocation between chromosome 4 and chromosome 14) or del(17p) (deletion of the short arm of chromosome 17) has been associated with higher BCMA expression and lower CD38 expression, whereas t(11;14) (translocation between chromosome 11 and chromosome 14) have been linked to lower CD38.[34, 35, 36] Notably, the ability to tailor MATCH constructs to target specific antigens may help overcome the inherent heterogeneity of MM. Here, CD38 is linked to Miyoshi myopathy.
