LGALS3 and Stroke: High Gal-3 levels were significantly associated with the composite of all-cause mortality, non-fatal MI, and stroke during long-term follow-up (unadjusted HR 2.812, 95% CI 1.580–5.003, p < 0.0001) in patients with ACS, but there was no such association (unadjusted HR 1.591, 95% CI 0.734–3.449, p = 0.240) in patients with non-ACS (p for interaction < 0.0001).
