The Kaplan–Meier survival curves (Figure 1) showed that high galectin-3 showed significantly worse hard outcomes than the low galectin-3 as determined by the log-rank test; composite of all-cause mortality, non-fatal MI, and stroke (p < 0.001), all-cause mortality (p < 0.001), cardiac mortality (p = 0.001), and composite of MACE (p < 0.001).
