IgE-mediated Oseltamivir reactions are rarely reported; a previous case documents a patient with anaphylaxis to Oseltamivir who was also found to have sensitization to Chinese star anise (Illicium verum), a source of shikimic acid which acts as a precursor in oseltamivir production, as well as mugwort, celery, carrot, and other spices, thereby suggesting celery-carrot-mugwort-spice syndrome as a risk factor for oseltamivir hypersensitivity [1]. Here, IGHE is linked to anaphylaxis.
