In the context of our breast cancer study, the observed upregulation of ANXA1 in immune cells of PD‐1 nonresponders, coupled with its overall downregulation in breast cancer tissues, could indicate a complex interplay where the tumor microenvironment either co‐opts or is overwhelmed by ANXA1's pro‐resolving signals, potentially contributing to an immunosuppressive milieu despite ANXA1's inherent anti‐inflammatory properties. This evidence concerns the gene RPL17 and breast carcinoma.
