EMP3 and neoplasm: KEGG pathway enrichment analysis of these characteristic interaction genes revealed that genes (MFGE8, SNX20, FBXO38, EMP3, etc.)highly expressed in the tumor nest margin were significantly enriched in immune regulatory pathways, cytokine—including cytokine receptor interactions, and antigen presentation—whereas genes (SLC35G2, TOP1MT, GGT7, MAIP1, etc.)highly expressed in the tumor nest center were mainly associated with metabolic pathways—glycolysis, the tricarboxylic acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation (Figures 4A,B).
