The elevated visceral fat group (NVAI≥0.95) had significantly higher age (p < 0.01), weight (p < 0.01), BMI (p < 0.01), ASM index (p < 0.01), body fat percentage (p < 0.05), waist circumference (p < 0.01), diabetes (p < 0.05), number of metabolic syndrome components (p < 0.01), MBP (p < 0.01), and triglyceride (p < 0.05) than the NVAI<0.95 group. This evidence concerns the gene MBP and diabetes mellitus.
