We propose that LY6D may contribute to immune evasion in bladder cancer by modulating the activity of immunosuppressive cells in the tumor microenvironment, such as myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and regulatory T cells (Tregs), thereby dampening the cytotoxic function of CD8^+ T cells and reducing antitumor immune responsiveness. Here, CD8A is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
