SHMT2 and ovarian carcinoma: Large-scale datasets, including bulk RNA-seq data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), microarray profiles from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), and clinical cohorts, reveal that SHMT2 overexpression is a common feature in lung, colorectal, thyroid, pancreatic, and ovarian cancers, and is often associated with poor prognosis (Lin et al., 2022, Liu et al., 2019, Noguchi et al., 2018, Wallace-Povirk et al., 2024).
