It is suggested that the mechanism of action through which probiotics prevent insulin resistance is via the inhibition of the β‐cell destruction in the islets of Langerhans, promoting the transcription of glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) and extracellular signal‐regulated kinase 2 (ERK2) levels, as well as alleviating inflammation (Valenlia et al. 2018). Here, MAPK1 is linked to Insulin resistance.
