The effects of a methanol extract of Nymphaea odorata (MeNO) rhizomes, its fractions and the active compound (methyl gallate, MeG) were investigated in estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and T47-D:A18, as well as ER-negative line SKBr3. This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and breast cancer.
