Regarding angiotensin-converting enzymes ACE and ACE2, we observe an increase in these indicators in the initial period after infection (34.96 ng/mL vs. 20.25 ng/mL and 48.16 ng/mL vs. 28.36 ng/mL, respectively; Table 1), finding a decrease in subsequent periods to a level similar to the concentration in the control (20.36 ng/mL and 34.70 ng/mL, respectively).
