Among them, we identified two representative subtypes with divergent functional attributes: CXCL9+ TAMs, which were enriched in interferon signaling and anti-tumor activity, and SPP1+ TAMs, which exhibited pro-tumorigenic characteristics, including enrichment in extracellular matrix remodeling, hypoxia response, and angiogenesis pathways.
