Epigallocatechin gallate is a polyphenolic compound found in green tea used against neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease [42]; it is also effective against anticancer activities [43], tightly binds to MTFP1, and downregulates the mRNA expression of MTFP1. Here, MTFP1 is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
