Furthermore, mRNA splicing-related proteins, including splicing factor 3a and 3b, small nuclear ribonuclear protein (SNRPD3), SNRPN, SNRPA1, and SF3A2, were also identified among the cluster, suggesting that CHIKV manipulates the host spliceosome to alter cellular gene expression, optimizing the production of specific spliced viral products during infection.
