Cross-model comparisons reveal that several differentially expressed proteins identified in our dataset, including PARK7 (DJ-1), VAMP2, and proteasomal subunits such as PSMA1 and PSMC6, are also commonly deregulated in rodent MPTP models and post-mortem brain tissue from Parkinson’s disease patients [34,75,76]. The gene discussed is VAMP2; the disease is Parkinson disease.
