Interestingly, our findings reveal that placental biomarkers, such as PlGF and PAPP-A, are more closely associated with early-onset PE and fetal complications, whereas markers of endothelial dysfunction and cell stress are more closely linked to maternal adverse outcomes (cfDNA and sFlt-1) and late-onset PE (platelet microvesicles). Here, PGF is linked to endothelial dysfunction.
