A meta-analysis by Sivalokanathan [19] identified 27 genes from this region, among which 4 variants were protective (HLA-DQA1*0301, HLA-DQB1*0302, HLA-DRB1*0101, HLA-DRB1*04), 7 were associated with the chronic course of sarcoidosis (HLA-DQA1*0505, HLA-DQB1*0601, HLA-DQB1*0602, HLA-DQB1*1501, HLA-DRB1*14, HLA-DRB1*15, HLA-DRB1*1101), and 4 were associated with Löfgren syndrome (HLA-B*51, HLA-DQA1*0501, HLA-DQB1*0201, HLA-DRB1*03) [19]. This evidence concerns the gene HLA-DQA1 and Löfgren’s syndrome.
